What we do

Troop 228 holds weekly meetings on Monday nights.  We camp once a month, year round. 

Some of our recent camp outs include Snow Creek, Eleven Point River, Jacob’s Cave, Katy Trail, Watkins Mill, and numerous Missouri State Parks.

Our Troop camps yearly at H. Roe Bartle Scout Reservation and participates in the honor camping program, the Tribe of Mic-O-Say.  We are also involved in the Tamegonit Lodge of Order of the Arrow.

Where we meet

Troop 228 Meets at the white building behind Christ United Methodist Church on Monday nights at 7:00 PM.  Christ United Methodist Church is located at 14506 East 39th St, Independence MO 64055.

Troop 228 History

Our Troop was first chartered in 1924.  We are quickly approaching 100 years of scouting in Independence!
