What we do

Troop 228 holds weekly meetings on Monday nights.  We camp once a month year round.  In 2016 we took 1 crew to Philmont, for a 52 mile 7 day backpacking trek.  In 2017 we are taking a crew to the Boundary Waters on a week-long canoe trip.  Some of our recent campouts include Snow Creek, Jacob’s Cave, Katy Trail, and numerous Missouri State Parks.  We camp yearly at H. Roe Bartle Scout Camp and participate in the honor camping program there, Mic-O-Say.  We are also involved in the Tamegonit Lodge of Order of the Arrow.

Where we meet

Troop 228 Meets at the white building behind Christ United Methodist Church on Monday nights at 7:00 PM.  Christ United Methodist Church is located at 14506 East 39th St, Independence MO 64055.
